Dental care with a service voucher
You can also visit us at eSmile for dental care using a service voucher (palveluseteli / palse). The oral healthcare service voucher is issued by the wellbeing services county and covers part of the costs of treatment at a private dental clinic.

We accept the City of Helsinki’s TUTHO and VAIVA service vouchers. Unfortunately, we do not accept KOHO service vouchers.
Please note that with a TUTHO service voucher, you must first book a dental check-up, and any follow-up appointments are scheduled after the examination.
You can find the TUTHO service voucher co-payment price list at palse.fi (in Finnish). With a VAIVA service voucher, you pay the same amount for your visit as you would at the City of Helsinki’s own dental clinic. Any dental laboratory fees will be charged separately.

How to use a dental care service voucher
- Apply for a service voucher from your local wellbeing services county.
- Book an appointment through our online booking system. Please note that service voucher appointments can be found in the booking calendar under the name service voucher.
- You can also book an appointment by calling our reception at +358 10 219 8700. Please remember to mention during the call that you are booking the appointment specifically with a service voucher.
- Pay the co-payment for your dental care service voucher at the time of your visit.
What services are covered by the service voucher?
There are different types of dental care service vouchers and the services they cover as well as the co-payment amounts vary. You will receive detailed information about the terms and conditions of your service voucher when it is issued by your wellbeing services county.
Typically, a dental care service voucher covers a basic examination as well as certain necessary procedures such as a filling or root canal treatment.
Aesthetic dentistry
A service voucher cannot be used to pay for aesthetic dental treatments.
